Omega-3 is essential for brain and cellular health.
Unless you eat a lot of fish, you almost certainly need to supplement this nutrient. It has multiple benefits to your body, especially to your central nervous system:
- Supports brain and nerve function
- Important component of cell membranes
- Protects against cognitive declines
- Supports clean arteries and heart health
- Helps maintaining supple joints
- May help in managing weight
- Helps preserve vision and eye health
- Helps control blood lipids for a healthier heart
- Aids in utilizing insulin and supporting good blood glucose
- Improves mood
Get Back In Balance With Us
With the modern diet so out of balance, the need for fish oil supplementation is near universal in families and communities that don’t eat the right kinds of fish. For most of us, salmon is a treat and sardines are rarely—perhaps never—on the plate.
That’s why fish oil can do so much to improve your health. But grabbing any old fish oil capsule won’t solve the problem....
That’s why Renown Health Omega-3 Fish Oil should be your first choice. The oil in each Renown Health Omega-3 Fish Oil softgel is 60% omega-3’s. That’s two to three times the ratio of Omega-3s to other oils found leading drugstore brands!
Why Fish Oil Instead of Plant Sources? Richness and Rightness
Cold-water fish have the world’s highest levels of omega-3’s. Trying to match that lode with plant sources is tough for two reasons…
- The omega-3’s occur in much higher concentrations in fish than in plants.
- The kind of omega-3’s in fish are much more potent than those in plants
Walnuts are the best plant source for Omega-3 with 2.5 grams per ounce. Other sources like pistachios and peanuts are far lower. But even if the levels of Omega-3 were equal, they’re still not the same thing. Because there’s more than one kind of Omega-3.
EPA, DHA, ALA… It Matters Which Omega-3 You Take
Omega-3’s include three different polyunsaturated fatty acids. They are not interchangeable.
Two of them, EPA and DHA, are “long-chain” omega-3’s. Those predominate in fish.
ALA is what dominates in plant sources. It is a “short-chain” Omega-3, and it is much less potent. If you take ALA, your body should convert some of it to more useful EPA or DHA, but it does not do that efficiently.
Your body only converts 1-10% of ALA to EPA. The rate for DHA is even lower. In addition, it has been found that men convert less ALA into long-chain Omega-3’s than women do.
Go direct. Get the EPA, DHA and all the Omega-3 you need for great health with Renown Health Omega-3 Fish Oil. And enjoy the lemon flavor, because it’s a lot nicer than a spoonful of cod liver oil!
